My weekend was great. Even though I spent the daytime locked in my room examining the connection between music and politics in Nazi Germany, I had a great time both Friday and Saturday!! You should all be proud of me...I haven't gotten out much lately, and I went out both the last two nights!! GO ME!!

Our Wind Symphony concert went really well, and I'm kind of glad it's done for the year....now I just have to get chorus out of the way, and I'll be just peachy!! After the concert, the "oboe house" (some of the oboe players live together in a house off campus) was having a year end party, so we decided to make an appearance. It was good to see everyone, but it was so crowded, hot and smelly (from a certain non-bathing trombone player.....ewwww! [Jim]), and we had to take the last bus home anyway, so really we only stayed for about 20 minutes total. So we headed back to campus, and Tara and I met Dave and Nathan in the recital hall to rehearse for juries, and just to jam and stuff like that. We ended up staying there until about 3am, at which time I went back to my room and went to bed......only to wake up at 9am to work on my paper all day. It was reassuring though that I had something to look forward to! Tara, Gabby, and I went for Thai food last night after deciding that real food was necessary! It was SOOOOOO good! I would reccomment Thai food to anyone who hasn't tried it! Then we went to Herman's (Jazz Club downtown), as it was our year end party there, whith jam sessions and an improv competition. It was a great night. We took a cab home and went to eat the leftover Thai food, and visit Dave, who has hermit tendencies (yes Dave, hermit....you wouldn't go to Dinner with us, or to Herman's), he, Nicole, Tara and I did a whole bunch of quizzes on thespark.com. I'm the purest one out of everyone, Dave is the least gay, and Tara is apparently hard to approach (which isn't true)! After that, I went to bed, and woke up to the sound of a stupid crow outside my window! So I went for breakfast, and here I am now, ready to finish my paper and relieve the stress that has been burdening me for the last week.

Wow, my roomate is actually awake.......AMAZING.......trust me guys....mark today on your calender!! It's the first time that she's ever been up at this hour all year!! Anyway, my paper awaits me!! TTYL!!
